The Poreporena Junior Development competition had its round six of competition today at the Konedobu Sports Ground.
EMTV Sports was at the venue yesterday afternoon, and saw the Bese Eagles and the Marlins in action.
It was a heated clash on a hot afternoon for the Marlins and the Bese Eagles.
The first half of this U19 match saw a try and a successful conversion from the Bese Eagles in just the first quarter.
Attempts from the Marlins to even the scoreline went to no avail in the next quarter.
The second half saw effortless defences from the Eagles, and it was clear their defences were not going to wear thin any time soon.
Marlins compromised a lot of ball possession at just the half way mark.
Despite the lack of possession, they made sure the Eagles did not score again.
In the dying minutes of the game, the Marlins resort to dirty play, but eventually gave in as the Eagles kept on maintaining attack.
Though, neither scored till full-time, with 6-nil on the scoreboard, in favor of the Bese Eagles.
