Nominations are now open for the Westpac Outstanding Women’s Award for 2017/2018 for outstanding women from across the country.
The award into its 20th year will coincide with the International Women’s Day in March next year where it hopes to receive more nominations than previous years.
The WOW Awards recognises outstanding contributions by women in their communities or fields of expertise and, is also calling for self-nominations this year.
The awards have recognised over 100 women in all walks of life where the women have managed to reach leadership roles within the private and public sector while others show outstanding leadership within their communities or in humanitarian fields.

“It’s all about hard work,” said the Telikom IT Manager.
Her story is like many other inspirational women in Papua New Guinea, and it is her hope that the WOW awards next time would be given to a much younger woman.
The nominations for WOW awards are now open, and will close on the 10th of January 2018.
