Tura Pays Visit To Waigani Christain School

Tura the Kokomo, the official mascot of the 2015 Pacific Games, today visited the Waigani Christian School.

Teachers and students came together to host a gospel concert to end the first term of the school year.

 

Students will go on a one week break starting today.

 

Students and teachers of Waigani Christian School gathered today in celebration of the closing of the first term academic year. 

 

Both primary and secondary students came in their respective uniforms to celebrate the closing ceremony of the term. Girls and boys got on stage to sing their gospel choirs and parents were also invited to come along to witness the end-of-term gospel concert.

 

Also invited to the concert put on by students and teachers of Waigani Christian School was Tura the Kokomo.  Kokomo greeted students and teachers while entertaining with his signature moves.

 

Parents, teachers and students celebrated and enjoyed the day with the presence of Tura the Kokomo. Kokomo will continue to visit respective schools and communities until the 2015 Pacific Games where he will make himself available to other pacific nations.

 

Students will go on a break for a week and celebrate Easter with friends and family to kick-off their term one holidays.
