Tower Insurance has come to the aid of Netball PNG by providing insurance cover for the PNG Pepes attending the Regional World Cup Qualifiers from April 17 – 22, 2018 in
Auckland, New Zealand a press statement issued today said.
According to Chair of Netball PNG Ms Julienne Leka, “this sponsorship is very timely and we are grateful for the generosity of Tower Insurance Ltd towards the PNG Pepes.”
“It has been a challenge over the last couple of months trying to secure funding for the team; and so such support by Tower Insurance gives our team hope and confidence to
persevere in their quest to qualify at this regional event”. Ms Leka said.
According to the press statement, Tower Insurance was pleased to be involved with the leading female participating sport in PNG.
“In particular, we wish to support the growth and development of Netball in PNG through our support for the PNG Pepes. This sponsorship reflects Tower’s longstanding commitment to PNG and the Pacific.”
The PNG Pepes are ranked 2nd in the Oceania region and 17th in world ranking. The team departs PNG on 13th April and will undertake a few lead up matches in Australia and New Zealand before competition starts on 17th April 2018. Countries participating in this event include Fiji, Samoa, Cook Islands, Tonga and PNG.
