Tewae-Siassi District Development Authority Sworn in

The Tewae-Siassi district in the Morobe Province now has its new District Development Authority (DDA) in place.

Members of the DDA were sworn in on Friday at the Wasu station. The DDA consists of six representatives, five from the LLG’s and the Member of Parliament (MP), Dr. Kobby Bomareo as the DDA chairman.

“We have a fair representation of people now in this administration,” Dr. Bomareo told those present.

Dr. Bomareo said there will be a major changes made in the district administration.

“I must make it clear to the people before they go that as we go in we will be making some changes in some of our major areas, especially the district headquarters. There will be a new District Administrator, new district treasury,” said Dr. Bomareo.

He further added that all the current LLG managers will also be changed.

“There will be three new LLG managers for the three council areas.”

He stated that the administration must be transparent and “clear cut”.

“Our, district is not in a good state. I want to bring Tewae- Siassi to another level to foster the good image it once had. It needs cooperation from the whole community,” said Dr. Bomareo.
