Team NCD is coming out strong with financial support from its Governor and representatives from its other electorates.
The team raised a total of one hundred and eighty five thousand kina in its fundraising dinner last night.
Money collected from this event will go into supporting the team with food and accommodation.
Team NCD will be sending a delegation of seven hundred athletes and officials to the sixth PNG Games in Lae.
It is the aim of the NCD governor to develop a standard Team NCD to promote sports amongst the youths.
Honk Kiap, the District Commission Manager said team NCD is a combination of athletes from all over PNG.
Amongst those present where some of the athletes that will take part in Weight Lifting and Body Building.
In the last PNG Games team NCD sent a delegation of one thousand athletes and officials to the games in Kokopo.
The team will be aiming to secure one of the top three spots in the November Games.
