Team Koboni is still up and running high on its feet, while keeping their longtime fans in the loop.

They are one of the longest serving AFL teams, involved in Port Moresby AFL since 1965.

The team is starting to garner interest from local business people as great skills and potential become more apparent.

Team Koboni is a local Port Moresby team like the other 9 teams participating in the Port Moresby AFL competitions.

They are the longest existing club in Port Moresby, celebrating their 50th anniversary next year.

Team Koboni has been very successful with its athletes and new and upcoming AFL lovers are joining in, further growing the team.

Receiving the cheque was Club Patron John Kali from Brendon Coombs, Managing Director of Concept Group Ltd.

The team was presented with a cheque of K4, 000, plus other goods, with a total of K10, 000.

The money will go towards new uniforms for the players, along with other necessary equipment.

The name of the team will change from Koboni to Concept Koboni after some negotiations with the players and the club Patron.

The team will receive ongoing support and everything involving AFL from Concept Group Limited. As of round 6, Concept Kobonies were leading. They won last weekend and are on top after round 7.

They had only one loss so far this season and that was against Lamana Dockers the weekend before last week, in round six games.
