Sports Education Workshop

The PNG Sports Foundation’s Sports Educators Workshop, held last month in Goroka, attracted a total of 16 participants as an in-service program for sports trainers and educators.

Mentor and Director of Sports Foundation, Peter Chalapan, headed the workshop and hopes to roll out the program throughout the country.

Following the launch of their calendar earlier this year, the PNG Sports Foundation rolled out the Oceania Sports Education Program for sports educators in the country.

The program aims to refresh and update sports educators on their respective roles and equip them with current approaches to sports programs.

In line with the Sports Foundation’s drive to address their 7 strategic objectives, the Oceania Sports Education Program targets the development of healthier and stronger athletes and programs.

The program will equip all agents will the necessary tools to administer and manage sporting codes in their respective provinces.

With the deliverance of such programs throughout the country, pathways are opened for participating agents.
