Promoting women’s efforts in the public and private sectors will encourage women in PNG to lift their profiles.
Over the years, women’s efforts are being promoted through Westpac’s Outstanding Women Awards, which recognizes successful women entrepreneurs in the country.
Today, SP Brewery came on board for the fourth time to support Westpac’s initiative with a cheque donation.
Additionally, EM TV came on board as a silver sponsor.
SP Brewery Managing Director Stan Joyce presented a cheque of K25, 000 to support this program.
Mr. Joyce congratulated Westpac Bank for staging these awards, giving recognition to women who continuously contribute to the development of the country.
He said women’s empowerment through education, career development and business opportunities must be given recognition.
The Westpac Managing Director said the profile of women is changing and hardworking women deserve recognition.
Nominations for Westpac Outstanding Women Awards is open for anyone to choose a candidate.
