SP Brewery Sponsored Digicel Cup

SP Brewery has jumped on board with a massive K200,000 sponsorship of the 2014 Digicel Cup competition.

This announcement was made along with the cheque presentation at the company’s plant, in Port Moresby today.


Company CEO Stan Joyce, said that through sport, the country could be united.


As part of its on-going partnership in rugby league, the sponsorship by SP, is seen as yet another stepping stone for the sport.


SP Brewery CEO Stan Joyce, said  since 1950s, the company had been synonymous with rugby league, and 50 years on, should be no different.


Hubert Warupi, valued the support of the sponsorship, and said it would go a long way to bring the game, to the Grass root level.


The majority of the sponsorship will go to operations costs, with the 10 franchise teams, ready for the start of the competition on the 13th of April.
