The NCD Metropolitan Superintendent Andy Bawa has confirmed the apprehending of a second suspect in the assault of the three Kundu 2 staff last Monday.
The Superintendent said police are still investigating this case and praised the Morata Community for providing police with information which lead to this apprehending.
“We have apprehended the second suspect on Sunday and the first one on Friday”, Bawa said.
He said police still needs the support of the Morata Community and he is encouraging the public to report any information that will be helpful to police.
In the meantime the second suspect incident involved in the attack of a police officer at Nine Mile outside of Port Moresby more than two weeks ago is still at large.
Bawa said police has also received positive comments from the Nine Mile, Eight Mile and Morata settlement residents.
Bawa issued warnings to those people who are still selling and consuming alcohol in those three settlements to cease their operations.
He said, their actions are illegal and will be dealt with by the law once caught.
