Rural Shipping in Morobe Affected by sale of property

Shipping to at least five small ports in Morobe stand to be affected after Nasfund sold off the Vocopoint wharf currently used by the Morobe Coastal Shipping Services (MCSS).

In a commercial decision, the super fund sold the wharf to The National Fisheries Authority.

MCSS has since been given 30 days to vacate the property and this has prompted angry calls by users for an interim arrangement to ensure shipping services continue.
