2017 Rugby League World Cup Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Hill, has arrived in the country. He is here to meet with the Local Organising Committee on preparations towards the hosting of this world event in Port Moresby later this year.
Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League Chairman, Sandis Tsaka, when welcoming Hill and his team to PNG, said the Rugby League World Cup officials will also meet with; Sports Minister, Justin Tkatchenko; National Capital District Governor, Powes Parkop; and sponsors of this event.
PNG is hosting three pool games in Port Moresby, and Andrew Hill and his team are here to discuss the preparations and delivery of this world event.
The 2017 RLWC, co-hosted by PNG, Australia and New Zealand, will not only see the World’s best rugby league players showcased, but will also allow the visitors to experience PNG’s wide, and diverse cultures, people and environment.
The home games at the National Football Stadium in Port Moresby will see; PNG play Wales on October 28th; Ireland on November 5th; and the USA on November 12th.
