Share the News

West Sepik Governor, Tony Wouwou has prioritised road development as one of his administration’s main agenda.

The Governor said priority roads will be the Nuku to Aitape, Aitape to Vanimo and Telefomin to Vanimo roads.

Mr Wouwou said the people of West Sepik have suffered enough, and it is time to deliver proper roads for economic empowerment.

The bad roads have recently come under public scrutiny on Social media.

With commentators saying the roads have been left to deteriorate for more than a decade under previous government.

The Governor also has plans to improve local SMEs in the Province, announcing he will subsidies funding for people to start small businesses to support themselves and not rely on handouts.

He made this remarks during the official swearing in of the West Sepik Provincial Executive Council Members in Vanimo last week Monday.
