“The Jiwaka Students and Graduates Association Inc Under-Privileged Scholarship Program (UPSP) under the leadership of Ms. Catherine Kip as the HR Coordinator was making arrangement for 4 kids from the remote Kambia area to attend school in the Banz.

“Kambia is a very remote area in Jiwaka Province with a population density of approximately 4000. The area is completely isolated from civilization. No road access, run down airstrips, poor medical services, low in literacy and others.

“On our last Survey and Medical trip to that area, our team brought back the four kids hoping to find a family and schools out of Kambia to put them in.

“The kids then attended Jiwaka Students and Graduates Convention and where they were introduced to fellow young Jiwakans. They were then sent to reunite with their families and to come back on the last week of January, 2019.

“We were worried because they have not returned as when expected. We are getting ready to send a team off to Kambia next week Monday, led by Ps. Gabriel. Surprisingly, four kids arrived yesterday (February 9, 2019) and were picked up by Ps. Gabriel.

“They are; Ruban and Rabin Kikap, who are twins and they will be doing Grade 5. Luke Tony and Max Tumbo will be doing grade 6. More of their stories will be posted soon.

“This is a piece of very thrilling news for JSAGA. We can not wait to have them settled in with their new families and schools.

“We would like to share this joy with you all. We thank you all for your prayers and support. Keep praying and supporting as it will take them some time to adapt to this transition.
