Pukpuks: Final 6 Depart Tomorrow

The SP Export Lager Pukpuks have selected and secured a final pack of 6 to travel to Canberra tomorrow.

After finalising the closing team of 12, those chosen to travel will be attending an intensive 8 week training program, which will further develop and offer these players, with a better understanding of rugby skills and knowledge.

Brumbies skills coaches Nick Leah, and Darren Clun, are both positive in working in harmony with the boys, given their previous experiences in coaching and assisting the PNG 7s men and women teams.

Other than rectifying and improving the performance and rate of success of these young men, the main aim of attending this camp is to prepare the squad for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, in July.

Members of the team include outside centre based players, Nathan Burun, Hubert Tseraha, Henry Kalua, and Seki Sisa and regulars Billy Torea, Henry Liliket, Albert Levi, Wesley Vali, Dondon Kais, Hensley Peter as well as debutants – Stanis Susuve and youngster Emmanuel Guise.

The squad under coach Fereti Verebula, is set to travel tomorrow morning alongside PNGRFU officer Frank Genia.
