Port Moresby Soccer Competitions are in round 1 of game 6 with 10 teams participating in the competition.
This year the number of teams has reduced due to problems with the venue and players leaving the competition in preparations for the BSP PNG Games.
Port Moresby Soccer soccer association is in round one of game with months remaining before the competition ends with semifinals and grand finals.
Current 10 teams are involved in the competition including newly promoted into the competition, NWTL Golo and Global Sea eagle.
Since the start of the competition, only 4 teams paid their registrations. 6 of the 10 teams in the competition are yet to pay their registrations. Port Moresby Soccer Association is appealing teams to do so or games might be cancelled until next year.
Port Moresby Soccer Association Competition Manager Robert Sabadi said with BSP PNG Games coming up in November, the number of team were reduced as athletes have either gone into training in different sporting codes in preparations for the BSP PNG Games.
He also said venues are a problem for the association to host its matches.
Mr Sabida said if this competition runs smoothly with all teams’ participation and competition venues are finalized games will continue towards their finals.
