POM Set For Rugby Festival

The Pacific in Union pilot schools in Port Moresby are set to host their rugby festival.

In their efforts to promote and uphold their message of keeping children in school, through the love of Rugby, PiU is confident in taking this program to new heights in the nation’s capital for the third time.

Port Moresby schools piloted the PiU program to success last year; and this year, they are looking to create a much more competitive festival by encouraging the participation of more young men and women.

Regional Development Officer, Kapani Robert, is expecting a bigger and better turn out this year, compared to previous years.

PiU is emphatic on continuing and improving inter-school competitions, as this gives children a sense of pride in representing their schools at a competitive level.

Marinville Secondary School, Caritas Technical School, and Gordons International are just a few of the 11 schools that are yet to kick off their 6 week curriculum program this term.
