One of the two police men in Port Moresby charged for sexual penetration has been dismissed from the force.
Constable Leo Kambao who is based at Hohola station was accused of sexually assaulting a female suspect while she was in detention.
The alleged incident occurred between the 10th and 12th of this month and was later reported by the victim.
After appearing for his first mention, the court found that Kamboa had committed a string of offences, and despite him being arrested and charged, no proper disciplinary actions were taken against him.
He was released on a K1000 court bail, and his case is before the Waigani Committal Courts.
