PNG KUMULS TO TAKE ON TONGA

PNG, the moment we all have been waiting for is finally here. At exactly 4:30AM tomorrow, our National Men’s Rugby League Squad, the PNG Kumuls will take on Tonga in round 1 of the men’s World Cup tournament which will be staged at the Totally Wicked Stadium, St Helens.

We took to the streets to gauge the public on their support to our PNG Kumuls.

The 2022 world cup is well underway and our PNG Kumuls will have their first match in less than 24 hours when they take on the mighty Tongan team.

The Tongan side is packed with most of the same players that beat the NZ Kiwis in the last world cup and they will be no push over.

This is what Roger Vagi had to say.

“Best of Luck and PNG is behind you. We hope we get the win.”

Another supporter Nelson John shared his thoughts saying, “a number of our best players are in the Kumuls squad. So at least we know and have massive support for our Kumuls.”

Stanley Tepend the PNG Coach has named a strong Kumuls side which will be captained by Rhys Martin.
