PNG Junior Squash Team Completes Australian Open

The Australian Junior Squash Open in the Gold Coast saw the PNG Juniors team put out some strong game over the weekend.

Amity Alarcos lost to her opponent of Australia, Kurstyn Mather, to be placed 8th out of 14 girls.

Christopher Witchurch is placed 16t out of 24 boys after he lost a challenging 5 sets to lose 2 sets to 3 to Zac Hilfstein of Tasmania.

While Nalu lost to Corey Condon of QLD and plays in the playoffs for the 22nd spot out of 32 boys.

The Junior Squash Team has completed yet another tournament in Australia and is now looking forward to the Cairns Open on February 17th and 18th.

Coach Madako Suari Junior said the overall performance of the juniors were competitive.

Surai said they had dedicated the tournament to Late Tina Yansom, who has contributed a lot to PNG Junior Squash Development.
