Following the 14th PNGFA Elective Congress held in Kimbe, West New Britain Province yesterday, re-elected President David Chung, up on regaining the Presidency for another term stated clearly his main agenda for the next four years.
The National Soccer League will be the main agenda which includes the Men’s and the Women’s Soccer League, along with the National Teams to be prioritised.
The president acknowledged that building a football foundation is vital, and education programs have already been drawn up to cater for that.
Adding to those, the Women’s Soccer league which was launched this year, and will begin competition next year, under his guidance.
Chung believes women’s football must be given prominence.
With the suspension of a number of PNGFA members, strengthening members associations will also be a key area of work as they all work towards a better PNGFA.
In the absence of 11 other members, 6 were present in support of Chung’s fourth term, including Maha Waname from Kimbe, Shem Farrock of Wau, Jack Payak of NBPOL, Donald Apeti from Mt Hagen, with appointed executive committee member, Simon Koima and Senior Vice President John Wesley.
