PNG Council of Churches Pay Respect to Lives Lost in the Earthquake

The Council of Churches from the 7 main churches of the Southern Region paid their respects to the lives that were lost in the Earthquake that impacted the Southern Highlands and Hela Provinces.

A moment of silence was given with a prayer of comfort that was followed for those provinces and affected families.

The 7 denomination bishops of the Southern Region gathered to participate in the sim registration roll out was the first of its kind to have all bishops of churches present.

Bishop Denny Bray of the Anglican Church took the opportunity to pray for victims of the earth quake and also prayed for the national government to provide a quick relief response.
