Plan to Repackage Tourism in East New Britain Province

The plan to turn East New Britain Province into a tourism hub is not timely.

Michael Turkia, a local business consultant says many things are not being showcased by the province to prove its worth as a tourism destination.

Mr. Turkia says tourism sites like the Bitapaka War Cemetery, doesn’t have a toilet facility, and most of the tour guides are illiterate.

He said these are some deficiencies that will hinder progress of tourism industry in the province.
