One Million Kina to Build New Gordons Police Barracks

Law and order issues in the Port Moresby Northeast Electorate will be approached with an iron fist this year.

 

Member for Port Moresby Northeast, Labi Amaiu, is fed up with the rise in petty crimes among other law and order problems affecting his electorate.

He is working closely with police to find ways to address this growing problem.

 

Law and order problems in Port Moresby Northeast Electorate have spiraled out of control in recent years.             

 

Local Member Labi Amaiu is concerned that, if these problems are not addressed, it may affect investor confidence.

 

 

Most of the key government departments and private businesses are located within the vicinity of his electorate.

 

 

He dubbed the Gordons Market as the worst place in his electorate, reported to have the highest number of law and order problems.

 

Police man power will be beefed up to safeguard citizens, government and business houses interests.

 

He says that there will be zero tolerance on law breakers and those found to be causing disharmony will be dealt with.

 

One million kina from the Northeast DSIP component has been allocated to build a new Gordon Police Barracks

 

His in talks with the office of the police commissioner.

 

With the forthcoming 2015 Games, he says, all hands are on deck to change the face of Port Moresby Northeast Electorate.

 

He called on residents within his electorate to cooperate with him and with the police to make law and order problems a thing of the past.
