Assistant Police Commissioner for Northern Command, Peter Guinness, has warned intending candidates who are already campaigning, not to continue.
Guinness warns it is illegal for candidates and their supporters to be carrying out campaigns this month.
Police have already identified intending candidates who have been going out into the remote areas of Morobe and have been holding campaign gatherings.
