Sitting Nipa Kutubu MP Confident of Returning to Parliament

Sitting Nipa Kutubu MP, Jeffrey Komal, continues his campaign in the Kutubu area of Southern Highlands.

In a recent rally at Pimaga Station, Komal said the People’s National Congress (PNC) Party is confident of returning and continuing its work in Government.

Komal said for Kutubu, many services have reached the local community and that is proof of good governance.

The PNC candidate wasted no time outlining the level of service delivery in the Kutubu area. He says people must understand the policies of political parties and then vote for services and not for any other motives.

Under Komal’s leadership, the Kutubu LLG has seen projects, but at a slow pace.

Kutubu LLG borders Hela, Gulf and Western provinces. In the past four years, Nipa Kutubu District Development Authority earmarked nearly half a million for services in the education and health sectors.

Komal said this will improve if PNC forms the next Government.

From records, the sitting MP was declared with a base vote support of 15 ward councils in 2012. That support has now risen to 20.

Komal is confident of retaining his seat.
