Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare, was given a New Ireland Chieftan’s welcome, and farewell yesterday, in Kavieng, New Ireland Province.
In a true, never seen before, display of traditional New Ireland chieftan culture, the Grand Chief was bestowed three chief titles, in a program that featured his historical connection with the province.
