NEC: Various Appointments Of Senior Bureaucrats

The National Executive Council has made various appointments of senior bureaucrats.

Prime Minister Peter O’Neill said Cabinet made the following endorsements.

 

They are; Ilagi Veali as National Executive Council Secretary; Kevin Kautu as Executive Director of the Coastal Fisheries Development Agency; Joel Alu as Acting Managing Director of the National Agriculture Quarantine and Inspection Authority; Raka Taviri Junior as Managing Director of Water PNG; Andrew Posong as Provincial Administrator for Manus Province and; Leslie Alu as City Manager of National Capital District.

 

Mr O’Neill congratulated these senior public servants, and urged them to continue their good work with distinction and honour.

 

He also confirmed that Cabinet had revoked the decision of declaring a state-of-emergency on the Angau Memorial General Hospital in the Morobe Province.

 

The NEC has further approved the appointments of new members of the hospital board; Micah Yawing – National Department of Health; Sarah Todd, Ian Chow & Nellie Maclay – local business representatives; Pastor Bonny Sinako – local church representative; Doctor Simon Kasa – hospital staff representative and Carol Yawing, Sharon Lewis and Nigel Marip – representing local communities.
