Game 2 of Round 1 was played this afternoon with more than 15 matches.
In the women’s division, ten teams were in action.
First up, Team Transport were up against Sojitz Aust in a close encounter.
The opening try from the Transports was quickly equalized midway through the first half by their opponents.
Sojitz gained a points lead after that, and it was’t long before the score line was leveled again.
At half time, the score was 2 – 2.
The second half saw a more determined Transport team, who kept the Sojitz from scoring.
And just before fulltime, they score again, giving them a point’s lead.
Meanwhile, IEA and Total Freights Solution had a similar encounter.
Though the TFS side were not about to let the win go the other win.
After a 2 flat scoreline in the first half, TFS scored early on in the second half, and made sure no touched their try line till full time.
The most heated match came from the Kupil7s and the MPSH.
Team MPSH showed dominance early on with 3 tries.
Kupil7 responded with just as much energy, with 2 tries to their name by half time.
Unfortunately, they were only able touch down a try once in the second half.
And that’s when the MPSH held them off from scoring and in the process, brought their own score to 5 with two more tries.
And in the other matches, IRC defeated Niugini Refueling 3- 1 while Kutmo beat Lako 2 -1.
