Muthuvel Launches Rural Electrification Set-up In Bulolo

West New Britain Governor, Sasindran Muthuvel launched a rural electrification set-up at Mapos Primary School in Bulolo district last Saturday.

During his visit, Governor Muthuvel was impressed with Bulolo’s Rural Electrification Roll-out program, which has brought many positive changes to the lives of the rural people.

Meanwhile, Bulolo MP, Sam Basil says more MSK units have already been purchased, and more communities are expected to be connected in the coming weeks.

Governor Muthuvel was the Guest of honour at the launching at Mapos Primary School. The school now finally gets electricity, 30 years after it was first established in 1974.

Mr. Muthuvel was impressed when arriving at Mapos to see the village and the school connected with electricity.

He also challenged the teachers and students at the school to make good use of the electricity provided, and he praised MP Sam Basil for the great initiative.

Bulolo MP Sam Basil was very happy to have the Governor at the launching. Mr Basil says rural electrification is a massive program in the country.

He also challenged the National Government to consider setting up rural electrification program in all the 22 provinces in the near future.

Governor Muthuvel was also taken on a tour and showed around on projects initiated by Basil in the Bulolo district.
