Health Minister Elias Kapavore has called on health workers throughout Papua New Guinea to commit themselves and provide health services to the people.
Minister Kapavore emphasized the need for more health prevention programs and activities, as the way forward in health service delivery in PNG.
He urged the staff of the public health division within the National Department of Health and the Provincial Health Authorities to reach out to the population and engage in more health prevention and awareness activities.
Minister Kapavore also challenged staff working in health facilities, including PHAs, to do more outreach programs to increase the immunization coverage in the country to 80% and higher.
He commended staff for their high-level of support from last year to the first quarter of this year.
