The Manus Provincial Police Command has commenced phase one of its security operations for the 2017 National Election.
The operation involves both police officers and members of the PNG Defense Force.
Provincial Police Commander, David Yapu, says the command began the awareness in Lorengau town, and will continue onto the outer islands.
