Lae Police Identify Floating Corpse Found in Lake

Lae Police are investigating the death of a male in his late 20’s, whose body was found floating in the lake opposite the Lae Show Ground.

He has been identified to be from Sinesine, in the Chimbu province, and is a resident of the Boundary Road area.

Lae Police boss, Anthony Wagambie Jr, said the corpse appeared to have been in the water a couple days before being found.

According to Mr Wagambie, there were no wounds found on the corpse. The cause of death is still unknown.

Police are calling on witnesses to come forward with any known information.
