NOKO HOTEL AND APARTMENTS OPEN

Noko Hotel and Apartments in Mt Hagen has officially opened, marking a significant milestone for the local hospitality industry.

The new establishment is expected to boost the local economy and create employment opportunities in the region.

It aims to cater to both business and leisure travellers, offering modern services and exceptional hospitality.

Hotel Managing Director Mokal Koi thanked everyone for their support, especially his immediate family members and church leaders for their continuous prayers.

He also expressed gratitude to Kina Bank for their trust and support in achieving this milestone.

“I’m a simple man in the village and if it wasn’t for Kina Bank I would not be standing tall in front of everyone and I want to thanked Kina Bank for its trust and support in me this far, Mr. Koi said.”

Koi shared his journey, stating that his dream of owning a hotel and apartments became a reality after 38 years.

“I’m not a politician nor an educated person to built such high standard hotel. Even my father is not a businessman as well as my wife but through God everything was possible after 38 years of business struggles, he said.”

Kina Bank Executive General Manager Business and Retail Banking, Rayleen Elston highlighted the importance of such developments, noting that it reflects the bank’s commitment to building opportunities with its customers.

“We are a young and challenger bank and we don’t always get it right. What we do is a lot of passion to help build business opportunities with our customers and those who are willing to do business with us, Ms. Elston said.

Governor Wai Rapa expressed appreciation to Kina Bank and formally welcomed the Executive General Manager into the province.

“On behalf of my province, I’m honoured and really appreciated Kina Bank for its continuous support towards businessmen and women in the province.

Kina Bank also contributed much to the development of the province since its establishment in the region, Rapa said.”

He also thanked Koi for bringing such services to Western Highlands, calling it a source of pride for the province.

Meanwhile, Provincial Police Commander Chief Supt. John Sagom urged citizens to respect the law and protect businesses operating in the province.

He assured the public and business community that local police will provide security for everyone.

“As the head of the police in the province, I will make sure everyone’s safety is paramount including all business houses and government offices in the province, Sagom added.”
