Manus MP, Ronnie Knight, is concerned with the increase of crimes allegedly committed by refugees in Manus.
Knight told EMTV News an increase of lawlessness by refugees will occur if the Australian Government fails to make a bold move and be responsible for the refugees.
He has also called on Minister responsible, Rimbink Pato, to deport all refugees currently on Manus Island.
Knight says the delay in both the PNG and Australian Governments, seeking help from other countries, will see the negative impacts caused by refugees continue to climb. These include serious crimes like rape.
This is not the first time the Manus MP has expressed the need for both governments to make a bold statement for the resettling of Refugees kept in Manus.
Over 40 arrests have been made by Manus Police in the past six months.
Some include being in possession and using marijuana, consumption of home brew, and public disorder.
While the PNG and Australian Governments drag on a decision to settle the refugees, Knight is calling for their immediate deportation.
MP Knight says if nothing serious is done, incidents like the recent clash in Lombrum, will continue to occur.
