Bush Karinj in the Mendi-Munhiu District of Southern Highlands Province is now connected by road to other provinces in the highlands region.
As part of the province’s Strategic Development Plan, the Province has embarked on major rehabilitation of over 40 feeder roads.
Governor William Powi during the opening ceremony said the road will provide the access for Southern Highlanders to reach services in Mendi and other parts of the Highlands Region.
The opening of the missing road link will now serve thousands living between Southern Highlands, Enga and Hela Province.
