A total of 53 teachers in Jiwaka Province have received certificates in Information and Communication Technology after completing a week-long training program.
The ceremony, though small, was significant and attended by the Jiwaka education board, provincial administrator Rick Kogen and principal advisor for the Education Division, Mr. Andrew Kuk.
Mr. Kuk congratulated the teachers and thanked Litehaus International for their immense contribution to the education sector in Jiwaka and Papua New Guinea.
He expressed that the skills gained through this training would be beneficial to students and schools.
Mr. Kuk also noted that over the years, the government has been working to improve the quality of education, and Litehaus International has supported these efforts by enhancing the learning environment and teaching capacity in the digital space.
Provincial administrator Mr. Rick Kogen echoed similar sentiments, stating that obtaining such valuable training would typically require a significant financial investment, but Litehaus International has made this opportunity accessible to the teachers.
