Ita Cyclone Relief Recieves K15, 000

SP Brewery Limited has come on board to assist victims of the recent Ita cyclone that has hit parts of Milne Bay Province last month.

The funding of K15, 000, was presented to Milne Bay Governor, Titus Philemon, by SP Managing Director, Stan Joyce, witnessed by Deputy Administrator Corporate and District Services, Sharon Mua, at SP’s brewkettle today in Port Moresby.

 

Mr Joyce said SP is happy to restore and improve normalcy to the affected areas. “SP will continue its community engagement by being part of the people one way or the other”, he added.

 

Mr Philemon said the funding will be handed over to the Provincial Government Committee who are incharge of relief distribution in the affected areas. “The funds will be used to restore people’s life as most were severely affected and displaced by the cyclone”, added Mr Philemon.

 

Meanwhile, officers from the National Disaster and the Provincial Disaster have carried out assessments from affected areas, and final reports will be made available.
