Isoaimo’s Commitment

People in the Kairuku Hiri open electorate have been urged to work together with their open MP, Peter Isoaimo.

Mr Isoaimo said people have to put aside their political interests and work together for the common good of the district.

He was speaking at Magabaira village where he gave some funds to the Women’s Fellowship and made a commitment to fix the road linking the village to the main highway.

Mr Isoaimo said the election is over and regardless of people’s political interest, they all have to work together to deliver services.

He said the by election results shows that he is now the mandated leader for his Kairiku-Hiri people, and urged them to work closely with him to recover some of the services that have been over looked in the past.

Mr Isoaimo said for the past twenty years, services especially the roads have received little attention.

He made this speech at Magabaira village along the Hiritano Highway yesterday.

During his visit there, Mr Isoaimo officiated at the opening of the United Church West Central Papua Region Women’s Fellowship second tri-annual conference.

He presented DSIP funds of Ten Thousand Kina cheque to support the one week event in the village and committed over K400,000 for a new road linking the village to the main highway.

West Central Papua Regional Bishop, Reverend Hitolo Arua, was pleased with the financial support and assured the local MP, that the church stands ready to work with the government under the public private partnership program.
