Her Royal Highness Princess Latufuipeka visits PNG

Her Royal Highness Princess Angelika Latu-fui-peka visited a number of significant sights in Port Moresby during her visit.

Princess Latufuipeka came in her capacity as Tonga’s High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea and Australia, to present credentials to the Governor General.

Princess Latufuipeka, is the eldest and only daughter of Tonga King Tupou VI.

She has a Bachelor in Business Administration and was appointed High Commissioner to PNG and Australia in 2012.

The princess was given a traditional Tongan welcome in Port Moresby when she met with descendants of early Tongan missionaries to PNG and the Tongan Community.

She also took time to visit and lay a wreath at graveside of well-known Tongan missionary to Papua New Guinea, Reverend Sione Kami.

Princess Latufuipeka becomes the first member of Tonga’s royal family to visit Papua New Guinea.
