Hekari Returns From OFC

MRDC Hekari FC slipped quietly back into the country after their OFC campaign in Fiji.

Losing their first match against Tafea FC 3-1, Hekari kept their heads high to equalise against Majenta FC 2-2 and Ba FC 1-1 in their 2nd and 3rd match respectively.

Hekari Vice–Captain, Koriak Upaiga, is confident that Hekari will work on their weaknesses and build up on their strengths come next championships, and said thanks to their fans for their support in Fiji and in Port Moresby.

Among those injured and will miss this weekend’s NSL match against Oro FC, Eric Komeng is out with a toe injury, Brian Kaltec with a toe injury, Daniel Joe with a Groin injury and Peter Bolotonga with a Hamstring injury.

Maintaining their spot at the top of the ladder in the Telikom National Soccer League, Hekari’s young guns will come off the bench in place of the injury toll.
