Governor-General of Papua New Guinea, Grand Chief Sir Bob Dadae, has expressed his gratitude to the nation for the support and well wishes accorded him and his family, following the passing of Lady Hannah Dadae last December.

The Governor-General officially resumed office last week.  Grand Chief Sir Bob said he was touched by the messages of support and encouragement that he and his family received from well-wishers throughout the country and overseas.

“On behalf of my family, I would like to convey my sincere gratitude for the support my family and I received through messages of encouragement and acts of kindness following the passing of my dear wife Lady Hannah last December. Losing a loved one is not always easy and it was indeed a difficult period for us even to this day. We truly appreciate the love and support shown us. Lady Hannah was a woman of strength and faith and her work as a teacher and a humanitarian has no doubt touched many lives a legacy our children will carry forward. We are grateful for the support of the National Government, the Morobe Provincial government, National Parliament, the staff of Government House, friends and family throughout the country and overseas. We pray that your good deeds will be a blessing unto you and others,” Grand Chief Sir Bob said.

A detailed list of acknowledgment will be made known in the media soon.
