Flooding from Laloki River Destroys Food Gardens and Agricultural Plots

The Laloki River, outside Port Moresby has burst its banks, destroying food gardens and agricultural plots.

The water level has risen to an estimated 20 meters, causing minor landslides and almost sweeping away machines, that were used in the reconstruction of Laloki Bridge.

The flood is a result of continuous rains experienced in Port Moresby in the last three days.
