Team captains and players came in their respective groups to compete in the first open match of the preseason competition.
The Fairfax volleyball tournament saw both men and women’s teams’ battle on court as they dug, flicked, set and struck against their opponents.
There are 7 teams in the preseason competition, with men and women players.
Selections for the PNG Games will be made after the National Titles and the kick-off of the proper season. This will be followed by selecting a train on squad for the PNG Games, leading to selection of a train on squad to represent the country in the 2015 Pacific Games.
The National men's team is currently in Thailand, representing PNG in the Asia Championships. The women will travel to Thailand between June and July for their asian titles.
The team's members, coaches and the organizing committee are now preparing for the national championships.
