Over the better part of the last decade, Education has been the focus of the national government. However, there is a need for School Boards of Management to improve governance and leadership capabilities.
For the four villages within the PNGLNG project area in Central Province, what began as work on developing a training program for Boards of Management has been deemed successful, and the Central Provincial Government has come on board to have this training rolled out in other Central province schools.
Today, the efforts in promoting Board of Management Training gained traction, with ExxonMobil PNG committing K300,000 to go towards this program.
This support, in partnership with Central Provincial Government is over the course of the next two years.
