Erima School receives rugby balls from Digicel Cup players

Selected players of the two grand final Digicel Cup teams visited and donated rugby balls to the New Erima Primary school as part of Digicel’s social commitment in support of rugby in the country.

The children were paid a visit yesterday by members of the Digicel Cup teams-Agmark Gurias and Mendi Muruks and the Digicel staff who arrived with the donation of rugby balls.

The donation of footballs in line with the visit is part of Digicel’s ongoing commitment in support to the development of rugby both at the national and community level.

Upon receiving the donation, school head teacher-Mrs. Wunum thanked the visiting Digicel Cup teams and said;        

“Thank you Digicel for this surprise and wonderful visit. We are grateful that Digicel chose to visit our school. We also thank Digicel for the donation which we will put into good use for our school’s sports days. Not only did we receive this Digicel donation but have also benefited from the whole visit by getting insights into the lives of some of our professional rugby league players.”

After the presentation, the Digicel Cup players signed autographs, chatted and answered questions before heading off.
