EMTV Plans To Partner ABG For Awareness

EMTV is looking forward to working with the Autonomous Bougainville Government, to improve broadcast coverage and be part of the region’s peace process.

Chief Executive Officer, Bhanu Sud, says “As Bougainville is heading towards referendum, the dissemination of public information is vital. EMTV is happy to be part of this change.

As referendum is around the corner, the dissemination of public information is vital and people must be aware of Bougainville’s political status.

Mr Sud recently visited Bougainville, discussing with government authorities, possible ways in which EMTV can be a partner, to improve coverage and programs.

Bougainville Chief Acting Secretary, Chris Siriosi, welcomed EMTV’s initiative, describing it as a communication platform that will support ABG’s vision, however his concern was for more education programs.

Media and Communication Minister, Reverend Joseph Nopei, said EMTV’s initiative is timely, when ABG is ready to conduct the Bougainville Peace Agreement awareness campaign.

EMTV is not just a television company, but has ventured into a multi presence broadcasting company through its integrated platform, EMTV Online and EMTV Mobile apps. This is to ensure information is disseminated to its target audience – the citizens of this country.
