Elenar Kunatuba: Palai’s First Female Coach

The PNG Rugby Football Union announced the Coaching staff for the PNG Palais, yesterday in Port Moresby.

The Palais will have, for the first time, a female rugby Coach to guide in this year’s women’s rugby calendar.

She is Elenar Kunatuba.

Elenar Kunatuba, a former Fijian rugby player, has been named PNG Palais Coach. She will work alongside her male counterpart, Sailosi Druma as the team’s Assistant coach.

Both names are synonymous in the Rugby fraternity.

Her passion for the growth and development of women’s rugby has led her to our shores to strengthen the growing interest of women’ rugby in the country.

Elenar is eager and hopeful to work with the select PNG Palais side, which will be named after the National Provincial Championships this weekend.

She takes up the responsibilities from former Coach, John Larry.
