Eda Ranu Launches ‘Financial Software’

State owned entity and water distributor Eda Ranu, has switched on its new Financial System to improve its operation and conduct business.

The new integrated financial system is a software developed by Australian company Technologyone, specifically for the water utility sector.

The launching of the Technology One – Go Live system, will give a new image to Eda Ranu’s day to day operation.

Chief Executive Officer Henry Mokono, said the new financial accounting system will greatly improve and streamline procedures in accountancy. “It’s an investment of K1.5 million, which the company will reap benefits once in use” said Mr Mokono.

The system is designed to support operational challenges of water catchment, treatment, storage and supply, customer management, revenue collection and reporting.

Eda Ranu staff have been trained to familiarize them with the new system as it will be in use, beginning today.

The system was officially launched by Eda Ranu’s Chief Executive Officer Henry Mokono in Port Moresby today.
